New coolant and antifreeze range : unlock maximum performance for the cooling system

At Champion Lubricants, we are always in pursuit of performance and newer innovations in the world of vehicle lubricants and fluids. We are now breaking new ground with the launch of our new range of coolants and antifreeze fluids compliant with the latest European Union legislation. This range includes state-of-the-art formulations ready to serve passenger cars, heavy-duty and motorcycle engines.

WHAT DID WE CHANGE AND WHY?

For safety and environmental reasons, the latest European Union regulations prohibit the use of both additives borate and 2-ethylhexanoic acid.

In the process of meeting the new regulation’s requirements, we didn’t want to change the formulations; we wanted improved products with excellent performance and broad market coverage, and their packaging.

EVO LONGLINE PROVIDING STATE-OF-THE-ART COOLING PERFORMANCE

Leading the charge for this new range upgrade are our two all-new EVO LONGLIFE fluids, which replace our existing G12++ and G13 coolant and antifreeze fluids. Designed for modern high-performance engines, these fluids offer a five-year (250,000km) effective lifetime with excellent heat transfer and dispersion.

CHAMPION COOLANT EVO LL -36°C and CHAMPION ANTIFREEZE EVO LL are innovative solutions that simplify cooling system maintenance while providing outstanding corrosion protection as well as improved low-temperature performance.

We use mono-ethylene glycols with state-of-the-art PSi-OAT corrosion protection technology. The additives are environmentally friendly with low toxicity and high biodegradability, making them suitable in many regions.

EVO LONGLIFE fluids cover multiple European, North American, and Asian OEMs. You can find the full specifications and compatibility here.

UNLEASHING MAXIMUM COVERAGE

In addition to EVO LONGLIFE, we have upgraded the formulations of all existing products. In total, we now offer nine coolants and three antifreeze fluids for fantastic market coverage.

Our trio of G11 products includes CHAMPION ANTIFREEZE G11 to be mixed prior to use, CHAMPION COOLANT G11 GREEN -17°C for most applications, and CHAMPION COOLANT G11 -36°C for colder climates with protection against freezing down to -36°C. G11 products are designed to last 3-4 years or 85,000km.

Our G12+ fluids contain an Organic Acid inhibitor (OAT) for improved long-term protection over G11 coolants. This means a lifespan of 4-6 years or 250,000km for passenger cars, but up to 650,000km for trucks. Our range contains CHAMPION ANTIFREEZE G12+ LL that must be mixed by the user and pre-mixed CHAMPION COOLANT G12+ LL -36°C.

We have also expanded our G12+ products with the introduction of CHAMPION COOLANT ASIAN LL -36°C, which is designed for Asian OEM vehicles.

For motorcycles, we have the CHAMPION PROPULSE TT COOLANT.

To offer a comprehensive range that covers all types of passenger cars, Champion has introduced futureproof solutions for an Electric Vehicle world in motion. A premium "lobrid" MEG-based battery coolant that combines Organic Additive Technology with mineral (silicate) corrosion inhibitors. A second new e-coolant designed for the indirect cooling of battery cells features low conductivity (< 100 µS/cm) to ensure electrical safety. Finally, a coolant specifically designed as a low electrical conductivity coolant for direct cooling of fuel cell stacks. This excellent low electrical conductivity fuel cell coolant is compatible with fuel cell cooling system components, it maintains low and stable electrical conductivity (< 5 µS/cm) to ensure electrical safety and it features material protection against corrosion for fuel cell system components.

NEW PACKAGING ALIGNED WITH MARKET NEEDS

Next to revising our formulations, we’ve also revamped our packaging. Listening to the market needs, we’ve now launched transparent bottles that make it much easier to identify the fluid.

The new range is available in 1L, 5L, 20L, 60L, 205L, and 1,000L sizes.
