With a wide variety of terrain, climates and racing conditions, the WRRC will be one of the most demanding motorsport championships in the world. While the competition among drivers will be fierce, it is their machines that will be put to the ultimate test. In the pursuit of performance and thriving under pressure, Champion’s R&D team has formulated robust lubricants specifically designed for Big Shock Racing’s greatest challenge.
Based on Champion’s industry-leading lubrication technologies, Martin Macik’s IVECO will use a tailored SAE 10W-60 racing engine oil and a high-performance SAE 75W-140 transaxle oil. With the switch to automatic transmissions in 2021, the Big Shock Racing team now also benefits from the proven CHAMPION NEW ENERGY MULTI VEHICLE ATF fluid. The team will maximise performance and reliability with our lubricants that are designed with advanced innovations – like our Adaptive Shield Technology – that use specialised additives to protect the engines and keep them operating at maximum performance under extreme conditions.
Martin Macik, Big Shock Racing driver and current WRRC T5 leader, commented: “Champion Lubricants have kept us at peak performance for over three years. Now, heading into the fourth year of this incredible partnership, we are taking on our greatest challenge so far – the World Rally-Raid Championship.”
“Since the beginning, we have worked with Champion to push our trucks to the extreme. Now, Champion’s passion for performance is powering our dreams of being WRRC champions.”
Yves Decat, Global Brand Manager at Champion Lubricants, complemented: “It is thrilling to be working alongside Martin Macik and Big Shock Racing to fight for the inaugural title in this completely new racing competition.”
“As the Official Technical Partner and Lubricant Supplier of the team, we feel truly excited to see our industry-leading lubricants maximizing performance and Martin’s chance of a championship victory. We wish the team the best in the upcoming competition, and look forward to powering them to the finish line!”
